Makeinfo guide

Create clear product information for merch

Decide page width, split long images, and check your file before uploading. Return to the editor at any time from the menu.

What page width should I use?

The default canvas is 860px wide, a common width for tall product images on shops and social feeds. Keep that working width and export at 2× for a sharper 1720px file. If the site you post to states its own width, use that instead.

How do I split a long page?

Split PNG follows your chosen height and looks for empty space between blocks before cutting. Cut guides are not exported.

Which specifications come first?

Put the details buyers compare directly under the product name: dimensions, included parts, material, and page count.

What should I check before uploading?

Product pages are read online, usually on a phone. Check that the product name, price and specifications stay readable at small sizes. Height and file-size limits differ by store, so check them before deciding how to split. If you later need a printed banner, prepare bleed and color mode separately for the print shop.

How can I edit again later?

Keep a Full PNG as your backup. It retains the project information that makeinfo can reopen.
